Vinyasa-Flow

Vinyasa flow yoga is a creative form of yoga. Yoga poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.
The term vinyasa refers to the alignment of movement with the breath, so although you may also hold poses for a few breaths, you’ll move from one pose to the next using the inhalation and exhalation.
Benefits:
  • The steady cycle of inhales and exhales provides you with a calming, mental focal point.

  • The continual movements, from one pose to another, gives you an added cardiovascular benefit creating internal heat.

  • Increased strength and flexibility - whether slow or fast-paced, Vinyasa classes are a great workout for your body.

Grounding Flow

Grounding Flow is a practice to come into one's center and find back into one's own body. Breathing controls the flow of movement and so it becomes like a meditation in motion.

Yin Flow

Yin Flow, Breath and YIN Yoga & Restaurative positions. This practise is designed to be with the sensations and to let go of what no longer serves you while using your breath.

Earth Flow

A mindfulness, grounding & flowing Yoga practise. Connecting with the earth underneath you.

YIN YOGA / Restaurative

A Yin yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.

Yin yoga poses are also designed to improve the flow of Qi, the subtle energy said in Chinese medicine to run through the meridian pathways of the body.

Improved flow of Qi is hypothesized to improve organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being.

Benefits:

  • Increase circulation and improves flexibility

  • Stillness: calms and balances the mind and body

  • Stress and anxiety reduction

  • Fascial release

  • Deeper relaxation

  • Greater joint mobility

  • Meridian stimulation brings balance to the organs

Kundalini Flow Yoga

Kundalini Yoga according to Yogi Bhajan, the spiritual master that brought it to the West in 1960's is the Yoga of awareness. It was designed to be quick for people who don't have all day to meditate, and who want to relieve stress, heal and transform physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Benefits:
  • Enhance intuition

  • Strengthen energy field

  • Brings forth of our creative potential

  • Mental steadiness and endurance

  • Releases pain - stress relief - emotional relief

  • Helps nervous system

  • Helps with Thyroid problems

My lessons are not full Kundalini Yoga lessons but contain elements of Kundalini Yoga and some Kundalini Meditations to create more Prana and to find more stillness.

Meditation

We start every Yoga class with a short meditation to center ourself in the place in the room in our bodies.

The meditation will be guided and we focus on our breath. We feel the breath in different body parts and we will breath into those parts observing without judging. Just being present with the breath.

Benefits of meditation:

  • Better focus and concentration

  • Improves self-esteem and self awareness

  • Reduce stress

  • Manage anxiety or depression

  • Fight addiction

  • Control pain

  • Makes you more kind and loving

Hatha Yoga

In Sanskrit, “Ha” represents sun and “tha” represents moon.
Hatha yoga is about finding balance. Through working with the physical body, releasing tensions and traumas stored in the body, you create space in yourself and, through that space and balance, the opportunity for spiritual growth.
Benefits:
  • Makes the body stronger and more flexible.

  • Release tension and trauma stored in the body.

  • Calms the mind.

  • Creates space in body and mind and in that space you find ‘balance’ and the opportunity for spiritual growth.

Follow your heart, follow your breath...
